Day 3 - Carbisdale to Invergarry - 82 miles

Day 3 started with a long descent, but not on the bike this time. No, this was the long trek to get out of the castle...after some toast and cereal for breakfast, we got the bikes out of the bike storage and set off for another climb, over the pass to Alness.

Through the steady drizzle, we skirted around Inverness and then over the hills again to join the A82 along Loch Ness. Suddenly it became busy with tourists which was a slight shock after the quietness of the first two days.

We continued all the way down the A82 to Invergarry, where we found an independent hostel to stay in, which was very comfy and had great facilities. Invergarry is just south of the more famous Fort Augustus, which sits at the end of Loch Ness. 2 punctures, but the bikes were still holding out well. For dinner we had a gourmet meal of, well, pasta and fruit.
